Artworks to Choose from for Artmaking Challenge #7

You may choose from any of the following artworks, create a replica of the artwork in your VAD, colour must be added. Complete this over the holidays and i will check them first week back. Locate the title and artist by completing some research, you may earn yourself some extra points.

Artmaking challenge #5:

Arrange a group of interesting inanimate objects in a cool way, showing interesting composition, think how you balance the objects. Then i would like you to draw this still life arrangement using a full page in your VAD. How can you push it further???? can you be a little more creative than just a basic sketch???? could you add watercolour or pastels to add colour??? Show me how creative you can really be...........

Artmaking Challenge #6:

Create a Collage in your VAD, use a full page. The collage must include a whole list of objects from your environment which you spend your time in the most....... Your home, your school, your yard, the bus stop, your sporting field, your mates place, the places which are your hood............

The collage should include: found objects
                                              rubbings of surfaces from that site
                                              sketches from the sites
                                              photographs that you take, cut up and rearranged.
                                              words and letters that explain aspects about the site eg: emotions,
                                              actions, ideas etc....

Im going to choose 6 artworks and place them on my blog....... you need to choose one and recreate it as close as you can to the original.........

Artmaking Challenge

Hi guys,

During this term to improve your artmaking skills i am going to be setting some artmaking challenges, one each week, how you approach them is up to you......

This is an opportunity to improve your skills in artmaking, i will include drawing, painting, photography, sculptural and installation style tasks. This will broaden your understanding of different FORMS in art and how to approach them. It will encourage you to look at and research artists in your time, this will guide what you do.......

By the end of this term i will be able to see a Visual Arts Diary full of different artmaking experiments, sketches and ideas........

Week two: Do a full page drawing of your Favourite place. (You can add colour if you wish, shading and tone is a must)

Week three: A drawing of your favourite animated character.

Week Four: A drawing of someone really important to you.
